On the Road with Ozark Mountain Biscuit Co.

Case Study Web Design

Food trucks are all the rage on the coasts, but in Columbia, Mo., they’re a bit of a novelty. So, what better way to help launch a unique new business than with a cool website?

Just Picture It

This project involved creating a responsive web design and capturing quality photographs of the biscuits.

The first step? Show off the food. We wanted to be sure that people’s mouths would water when they saw the photos online, just as much as ours did when we shot them.

Wherever You Go

Based on the nature of the food truck business, we understood that a large portion of the company’s clientele would be using mobile devices to find them.

We built the site using a single-page responsive web design with this in mind.

The single-page design makes viewing simple on all devices and eliminates the need for loading several pages. When people are hungry and on the go, they do not want to wait for pages to load to see what they can enjoy; they want quick access with easy navigation.

Location, Location, Location!

Since the food truck is always on the move, we added a Foursquare locator feature that provides a map to show the trucks current location. Whenever Ozark Mountain Biscuit Company updates its geographic information on Foursquare, the map is updated making the food truck easy to find.
